This is Maurice Sunde Afor's last weekend with us officially in his Pastoral Year at Sacred Heart and St. Charles. He will be returning to St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore to complete his Third Year of Theology.

Former Sacred Heart parishioner Fr. Robert J. Wagner was installed as the pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Clifton, VA by Bishop Burbidge of the Arlington diocese on July 12.

The Parish Office will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Morning Mass will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 4.

After many years of serving in our Parish Health Care Ministry and visiting those who are homebound or in hospitals or hospices, Sister Helen will be moving to Holy Cross Convent in Philadelphia in early July.

Effective September 1, Fr. Canisius Tah has been appointed Associate Pastor in Residence at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Pikesville, and the future Fr. Brendan Fitzgerald has been appointed Associate Pastor for Sacred Heart Parish. Seminarian Cornelius Ugwu has begun his pastoral year at Sacred Heart.
