The
Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated at Sacred Heart on
Sunday, April 11 in the Main Church
following the 11:30 AM Mass. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praying of the
Divine Mercy Chaplet, and veneration of the Divine Mercy image.
Through private revelations to St. Faustina Kowalska, Jesus promised that anyone who celebrates the Feast of Divine Mercy (observed on the Sunday after Easter) will receive complete remission of sins and punishment (Diary of St. Faustina, 699). One is required to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, go to confession (confession in preparation of Easter is acceptable), receive Holy Communion, and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Praying the Divine Mercy
Novena is not a requirement, but Jesus requested that we pray the Novena beginning on Good Friday — praying for specific souls each day.

Jesus said to St. Faustina,
“Proclaim that mercy is the greatest attribute of God. All the works of My hands are crowned with mercy.” (Diary of St. Faustina, 300)
