Our Daily Bread is a soup kitchen in Baltimore City managed by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Sacred Heart supports Our Daily Bread’s ministry of outreach to the hungry by collecting and delivering
"Zippy Beef" casseroles and other items on the 4th Tuesday/Wednesday of
every even-numbered month.
Drop-offs will be at the back door of the school kitchen (across from the convent) on
Tuesday evening, June 22 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and again on
Wednesday morning, June 23 from 7:30 – 9:00 AM where our volunteers will collect your casseroles and/or dry goods donations.
You can pick up a disposable pan with the recipe
after any Mass in the Main Church. Thank you for supporting this ministry throughout the pandemic!
Our Daily Bread is also in need of the following items:
Heavy-duty 10" paper plates
Plastic forks and spoons
Paper napkins
8 oz. hot drink paper cups
Capri Sun drinks
Bottled water
To prevent spillage,
please double-bag and freeze or refrigerate your casserole before you drop it off. If you can’t make a casserole, please consider donating dry goods such as canned vegetables/fruit, coffee, tea, sugar, peanut butter and jelly, powdered drink mixes, and non-food kitchen items such as paper cups, paper and plastic sandwich bags, and kitchen cleaning materials.
