Wednesday, April 28 is Workers' Memorial Day — a day set aside to honor workers who have lost their lives on the job, to pray with their loved ones, to call attention to the dangers many workers face at work, and to pray for those who have been injured.
This year we are all especially aware of the dangers many workers faced during the pandemic. The
Catholic Labor Network will be honoring the day with a
Memorial Mass livestreamed at
2:00 PM. Fr. Sinclair Oubre, a member of the Seafarer's Union, will be the celebrant. Fr. Ty Hullinger, Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Dominic, and Most Precious Blood Parishes in Baltimore, will offer the homily.
Later on the same day, IBEW Local 26, The Building Trades, and St. Camillus Parish invite you to participate in a Workers' Memorial Day Mass in person or livestreamed at
5:00 PM. The address is 1600 St. Camillus Drive, Silver Spring, MD.
