Approximately half of our Sacred Heart Confirmation Class of 2020 received the Sacrament of Confirmation on July 25.  Please join us in congratulating these young men and women who chose to establish a deeper relationship with God and becoming closer to Jesus Christ.

All Sacred Heart High School teens are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 PM for "Courageous Conversations — Responding to Racism and Violence in America". We will reflect, listen, speak, and pray to make progress to end the evil of racism. 

The Respect Life Committee invites you to join us for a virtual Rosary for Life and virtual planning meeting on Thursday, July 30.  We welcome you to join us in planning ways we can spread awareness for respect for the sacred gift of life from conception to natural death.

We congratulate our newly initiated in the RCIA group who celebrated Mass and received the Sacraments of Initiation on July 17!  Their desire to receive the Eucharist only grew as they were delayed in receiving the Sacraments of Initiation.

We will not be using a Mass sign-up this weekend.  We have found that we are not nearing our church capacity, so we do not need to track it ahead of time.

This is Maurice Sunde Afor's last weekend with us officially in his Pastoral Year at Sacred Heart and St. Charles. He will be returning to St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore to complete his Third Year of Theology.

Former Sacred Heart parishioner Fr. Robert J. Wagner was installed as the pastor of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Clifton, VA by Bishop Burbidge of the Arlington diocese on July 12.

Sacred Heart will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Saturday, July 25 from 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM in the West Room.

Casseroles are collected and delivered to Our Daily Bread on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Volunteers will collect your casseroles and/or dry goods donations at the rear kitchen entrance on Tuesday evening, July 21 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Wednesday morning, July 22 from 7:30 – 9:00 AM.

The Respect Life Committee invites you to join us for the Holy Hour for Life during Eucharistic Adoration in the Little Church on Friday, July 10 from 4:00 ‒ 5:00 PM.  We are excited to share that up to 30 adorers can join us in person.
