All Religious Education students in grades 3 — 8 are invited to participate in the "Christ Is Alive!" national essay contest!
Your essay topic this year: Describe a moment when you felt close to God.
For example, it could have been when you were praying, on a retreat, or at Mass. Or it could have been in an answer to one of your prayers, or in the mercy or kindness of someone you know.
God is at work in the world all the time. He is close to His people in their daily lives and in all of their joys and sorrows. He comforts us, heals us, and helps us. That’s the good news: God is with us! For this essay, think of a time when you felt God was with you — and then write about it.
You can find all contest information at www.comcenter.com/christisalive.
• Essays are limited to one side of 8.5 x 11” paper
• There will be 2 winners in each grade across the USA
If your child would like to participate, please drop off or mail his/her completed essay to Sister Cecilia at the Parish Office by March 1.
